4. Tea Tree oil

Tea tree oil comes from the Melaleuca tree, and has anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties. In other words, it helps reduce inflammation and get rid of microorganisms that come in the form of bad bacteria and fungus. This makes it a great home remedy for cystic acne because both of these things are present in copious amounts.

In fact, tea tree oil is an active ingredient in many natural acne-fighting products found on the market today due to these very reasons. Researchers have found tea tree oil to be among many of the plants that can be used for the treatment of acne.

One way to use it is to put 1-2 drops of the oil on a cotton swab and pat on hurt area/ Leave it on  for a few hours or overnight, then rinse off with warm water. Try this once a day for a week. As with any treatment, it is best to test it on a small patch of skin to see how it will react.
