
7. Dietary changes
While diet can be a cause of acne, the verdict is still out on what dietary changes need to be made since everyone’s body reacts differently to foods. If you suspect diet may play a role in your cystic acne, try cutting out processed foods and replacing them with whole fruits and vegetables and other plant-based foods. You may want to try staying away from dairy such as milk and cheese.
Keep a journal of what you are eating, and any changes you see in your skin that may correlate with your diet. This is a good idea do do with all the treatments you try so that you can best decide which one or ones work best for you as you rid your body of this terrible condition.
