4. Your kidneys will be healthier
Grapes contain powerful antioxidants such as anthocyanins (which give grapes their red to purple colour) and resveratrol. Both play a key role in fighting free radicals that can enter the kidneys and cause infection and disease. These antioxidants can also work to remove waste products such as uric acid.
The National Kidney Foundation recommends consuming 15 grapes a day to maintain good kidney health as part of a balanced diet.
5. You’ll be safe from most cancers
Back again to those powerful antioxidants. These antitoxin powerhouses have anti-cancer properties that protect the body from many types of cancer, including breast cancer. Polyphenols such as resveratrol have anti-inflammatory properties and antioxidant capacity.
Studies have shown that even just resveratrol supplements may have many positive health benefits, including a reduced risk of cancer. Even so, we think eating grapes is the better route.
